All you need to know is that each Portuguese online lesson lasts for 60 minutes. Which means that you can have One to One online lessons any day, any time. I first started learning Portuguese when I decided to go to Portugal for EURO 2004. For this I taught myself. I still wanted to learn Portuguese after the tournament, so I looked for evening classes. Eventually, I found Bonina's class at an FE college. They lasted for a couple of years and then closed. Since then I have continued with Bonina as my teacher with a fellow pupil. I relish the challenge of learning a new language and look forward to the class each week. Bonina has plenty of ideas and material that keep the classes fresh. Also, she encourages us to make suggestions for topics or areas of study. She gives us plenty of freedom to practice conversation and listening, but is ready to correct us without overdoing it. I would recommend Bonina to anyone who wished to learn Portuguese at any level.

My wife and I studied Portuguese with Bonina for 5 years. After taking a basic course from a CD, we were looking to improve our vocabulary and understanding of Portuguese grammar. Studying with Bonina is a real joy. First, her knowledge of the language and grammar and how to translate this knowledge between the different languages is very good. Secondly, she uses many different ways to teach a subject and is very creative: using magazines, games, books, music, videos and more. I started learning Portuguese with Bonina last January as I have a property in Portugal and wanted to converse with the locals. From the very first lesson I have had so much fun and enjoyed the one on one teaching as it means that I can work at my own pace and book lessons at my convenience. I love the conversations we have in Portuguese and even though I have a very long way to go Bonina is very encouraging. My favourite exercise is learning new words and being tested on them in lessons.
